In Matthew 11:20, Jesus said that he will teach us the unforced rhythm of grace. Does your week have rhythm to it? My life is most stressful when I get out of rhythm. It's like a heart skipping a beat--in that it gets your attention--and if your heart stays out of rhythm, they insert a pace maker. This week, take a moment to check your rhythm, If you have gotten out of rhythm, ask God to help you get back in stride.

WOW! What an amazing Easter weekend! Steph and I are so honored we get to do life at Flamingo and run after the vision God's put in our hearts with such an unbelievable team.

We have heard great stories of real life-change that took place across all of our campuses. We will be sure to share some with you in the upcoming days. One invite REALLY DOES change a life. If you have one, please share your Easter story with us.

Flamingo Road Church immerses 661 on Easter Sunday morning:

Cooper City, FL, April 5, 2010 – Flamingo Road Church (FRC) sets another Easter Sunday record baptizing 661 campus-wide. The dawn of Resurrection Sunday met hundreds of folks lined across the turf to celebrate their family and friends taking the step into the water.

“Our mission is to partner with people to reach their God-potential and baptism is a fundamental milestone for them, we are excited to see this life-change at all of our campuses,” said Gramling.

FRC had a total of 34 Easter services throughout their six campuses beginning at 6:30pm on Good Friday with the last service at 5:00pm on Easter Sunday. FRC has lead the state of Florida in baptisms with 1,535 baptisms in 2009; 1,331 in 2008; 833 in 2007 and 732 in 2006. On Easter Sunday 2009, 629 put on the God-jersey and got baptized at sunrise at FRC campuses around the world.

Can you believe there are only 3 days left until we kick-off Easter services at Flamingo?

We, as a family, have been inviting and inviting and can't wait to see the BIG things God is going to do this weekend. It's not too late to invite. If God has laid someone on your heart I'm going to encourage you to give that person a call. Everybody knows somebody that needs to be at church this weekend.

This morning I spent some time with the staff going over the resurrection story. It's so easy to get so busy with life and family that we miss the cool things God's trying to do in our lives. This Easter, don't miss it. Can we pray for you? Leave a comment here and let's pray together.

I am expecting BIG things this Easter! I can't tell you how excited I am to see the life-change that is going to happen, especially through baptism. Last year we baptized over 600 people Easter weekend. This year we are praying that 1,000 people take their next step and put on the God-jersey. Is it your turn?

Awhile back, I read an article in USA Today about how chronically ill patients keep their spirits up. The article also included a list of questions:

"Have you...

-said thank you and meant it?
-phoned a friend?
-went to visit a friend?
-said something pleasant to someone else who didn't expect it?
-learned something new?

These are great questions to consider in leadership too. As leaders, the challenges and drain of leading can really get us down. So whether we implement the questions above or our own strategy, hopefully we all have a plan in place to lift us up when we are feeling down. David was a great leader and spoke to this in the Psalms: "The Lord is my strength and my shield. I trust him with all my heart. He helps me, and my heart is filled with joy. I burst out in songs of thanksgiving." Psalm 28:7
