Sometimes we think we have all the time in the world. USAToday published an article about a study done by the Pew Research Center. They discovered that most people don't consider themselves "old". According to the study, the average age considered "old" was 68. In a recent teaching, I used a matchbook to represent life. With an age-bracket I came up with, we tore out a certain number of matches, based on our ages. The torn ones represented our yesterdays, the remaining ones represented our tomorrows and one burning match represented today. In our "matchbook" lives, God asks us to:
-be a part of a family
-tell His story
-love Him and love others
Today, there's a match from our matchbook that's burning. We could lose it or we could invest it. Don't miss the opportunity God has given you!
What is it He wants you to do with your matchbook?
