We had another great weekend at Flamingo Road Church! And let me just say… Troy did an AMAZING job teaching on overcoming the obstacles in our life. Maybe I’m prejudice (I don’t think so), BUT man, he is such a gifted teacher! I learn so much from his teachings every weekend. If you missed the teaching, you can watch it here.

He talked about living a life of vision, and how so many people fail to reach their God Potential simply because they allow obstacles to cause them to just quit, give up and spend their whole life just going around & around in circles just like in the Bible when the Israelites spent 40 years wandering around in the desert, never reaching the Promised Land because they didn’t break through the obstacle. How sad would it be to spend your whole life just going around in circles because you couldn’t/wouldn’t break through the obstacle that was in front of you. Many times those obstacles seem SO big that it feels impossible but just remember, “with God ALL things are possible.”

Troy gave us 3 things to be aware of when enduring obstacles…
    •    You will be tempted to go back
    •    You will be hurt as people question your motives
    •    You will have to face your insecurities

And here is the HUGE encouragement that Troy ended the teaching with… On the other side of the obstacle you are facing, there is a blessing! Don’t go back! Endure! Because that obstacle is what Jesus will use to accomplish the vision in your life.  So, here’s the question we all have to answer: Do I have enough faith in what Jesus said, to endure what I see in front of me?  Wow! I’m going to write that down and keep it somewhere visible, so that I’m always reminded that Jesus is much bigger than ANY obstacle that’s in front of me!
